Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using kitchen.the-good-plate.com — the official site of The Good Plate: Store and Courses (“the Site,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) — including browsing content, creating an account, enrolling in a course, or purchasing a product, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. Description of Service

The Site is operated by Adrienne Boswell / The Good Plate and offers:

  • Online courses delivered through our learning platform (LifterLMS), covering cooking skills, techniques, and related kitchen topics.
  • Products available through our shop, including digital downloads and physical goods, sold and fulfilled via SureCart.

We may add, change, or discontinue courses or products at any time.

3. Accounts, Purchases, and Course Access

You must provide accurate information when creating an account or making a purchase. You’re responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.

When you purchase a course, you receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access that course’s content for your own individual learning use. You may not share your login, reproduce course materials for redistribution, or resell access to any course.

Course access may be time-limited (e.g., tied to an active membership) or lifetime, as stated on the individual course or product page at the time of purchase. We reserve the right to revoke access for violations of these Terms.

4. Payments, Refunds, and Cancellations

All payments are processed securely through SureCart; we do not store your full payment card details on our servers. Prices are listed in U.S. dollars and are subject to change without notice for future purchases.

Refunds: Courses may be refunded within 7 days of purchase if less than 20% of the content has been completed and the purchase price was more than $5.00 USD. Digital products are generally non-refundable once downloaded or accessed, except as required by law.

Subscriptions/memberships: If a course or product is sold on a recurring membership basis, it will automatically renew at the stated interval until cancelled. You may cancel at any time through your account or by contacting us; cancellation stops future billing but does not refund the current billing period unless otherwise stated.

More information is available in our Refunds and Returns Policy.

5. User Conduct

When using the Site, you agree not to:

  • Share, resell, or redistribute paid course content or downloads
  • Use automated tools to scrape or copy site content
  • Post abusive, unlawful, or infringing content in comments or course discussions
  • Attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the site or its systems

We may suspend or terminate access for anyone who violates these terms.

6. Intellectual Property

All course content, recipes, videos, text, photography, and site design on the Site are the property of Adrienne Boswell / The Good Plate unless otherwise credited, and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Purchasing a course or product grants you a license to use that content personally, as described in Section 3 — it does not transfer ownership or grant reproduction/resale rights.

7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Recipes, courses, and product recommendations are provided for general educational and informational purposes. We make no guarantees about specific results (health, culinary, or otherwise), and you assume responsibility for food safety practices, allergies, and dietary needs in your own kitchen.

The Site and its content are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Adrienne Boswell / The Good Plate is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, courses, or products.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time; the “Last Updated” date above will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
